I purchased this bus back in 2000. It was an ugly ol school bus, blown 370 engine. The bus cost me $600 plus $100 to get it towed to the house. This is what I turned it into and have been using it since 2002.

Now here is an example of making chicken salad out of chicken s---

Nice Job!!!

Jay , how does this compare to the old J.C. built bus transporters?

Keith, very impressive!  What do you run for power now?  Any major changes to engine / trans?  Do you drive the race car up the ramps or do you have a winch?

Royce....Jerry's was less worse in that the windows were not covered.Had that "ship in a bottle" look with the car inside. After a day of driving,it was way hot to sleep in.

Jerry's clamshell door on the back was a little unwieldy, but it did work.  I get a kick out of his new bus, which says "Destination:  Area 51" on the front LOL!

I re built the 370, shushhh, not an FE :-( . I do have an adapter plate for an Fe to the Allison OD automatic trans so the next time its out I'm going to stick a 76 361FT in that I rebuilt and is sitting on the stand. I winch the car in and use two15' ramps made from square tube and aluminium.  The car sits so low I had to make the ramps that long. I have a generator for power of course and two deep cycle batteries as well. I have some much better Pict's but need to scan them and get then in the computer. Its easy to drive and handles well. It tops out at 70mph though because of the governor in the transmission.  I have almost sold it a few times but its very hard to part with it.

Yes it does. Still looks just like that. Needs a fresh coat of paint but ill do that sometime this summer. I picked up a really good used sun setter roll out owning that I plan to put on soon..the make shift roll out I made from one of the 10'x20' tarp type carport worked really well for years but the new to me roll out should work out even better. I just been concentrating on getting the car back together so the hauler has just kinda been sitting.

Hahaha, totally.  I used to wear a hospital gown to parties that said "If found return to Central State Hospital"  on the back.

Id love to have something on it. Something related to my racing but Virginia is kinda picky and as long as I keep it plane and display "not for hire" on the front of both sides I can register it as privet/RV instead of as a commercial vehicle. . Lot less headaches.. lol
