I went to order Fel-Pro head gaskets today thinking they were $41 a pr, and was told that was each.
Then I remembered someone saying the Ford gaskets are the same but half the price.
They are less than half the price but:
The Fel-Pro has the pre-flattened wire and the Ford gasket does not appear to.
I have listed both gaskets from Summit below:

I previously used a Mr Gasket head gasket and I noticed some minor brinneling? on the head surface. I definitely don't want that.
If I have to buck up and buy the Fel-Pros gaskets I will, but I would like to know what the difference is.
I want to use the best gasket I can to be used with Edelbrock heads.

I've always been under the impression that the Ford Motorsport gaskets and the Fel-Pro 1020s are the same, but it has been quite a few years since I've looked at this...

I did spend quite a bit of time previously to posting and found info stating that they are the same, but there were some inconsistencies.
Since posting I researched for around an hr, and I don't know how many posts and came to the conclusion that they are the same.
I just ordered the FMS-M-6051_A427 a few minutes ago.
I just hope it does not leave a ring on my Edelbrock head where the fire ring is.
I also hope they seal the water passages well.
Thanks for the help.

They are the same gasket and will leave a mark on the Edelbrock head. Works just fine.

Just got the Ford gasket and as you said, they are marked 1020.
Good to know about the mark. Thanks.
