Title: Fuel clamp question

Quick question for you guys - if you were trying to assemble a period correct 1965 427 R code with dual quads, what kind of clamp would you use on the rubber lines from the fuel log to the carburetors?  I have tried to do research but can't find anything definitive.  In pictures I've seen everything from worm style to spring style to no clamps at all.  I know the Wittek tower clamps were widely used then but I can't find any small enough for a fuel line if that is what was used.  Any suggestions?

Safety first!  Clamp it.  Don't burn it down with a spring clip.  Joe-JDC

I have been using NAPA fuel injection clamps on my setups, you can position them so they look like a band when you look at them. The worm clamps now days are junk, tighten and they strip. the spring wire clamps are hard to find around here.

Originals used a crimp style clamp. It takes a special tool to crimp them properly. The drawback is they pretty much have to be destroyed to remove them. The clamps and the tool can be found on some Ford/Mercury vendors sights.

I prefer small quality worm clamps so they can be removed easily. They don't have to be tightened super tight to hold 6-7 psi.

Go ahead and buy an extra set or two of clamps.  If you have to pull something apart, you don't want to have to wait for new clamps to get going again

Last time I looked, Gardner-Westcott sold quality all-SS worm-drive clamps.
