Which drainback tins would be better for me to use on 428 Cobra Jet heads with Precision Oil Pumps rockers and stands? I realize I will probably need to trim them some and use the restricters. After reading Jay's book, sounds like it would be worth it to run tins and restricters. Would the long finger be better than short finger? I have both.

They are definitely worth running. The long fingered ones won't fit all intakes, but I'd use those if you can make them fit.

The intake will be either a Blue Thunder 4V or a Edelbrock Streetmaster Jay. I already have both intakes also. My 428 Cobra Jet is bored .060, with stock crank and rods. With the pistons and heads, my machinists says compression will be 10 to 1. My cam is a Oregon Camshaft version of a Comp Magnum 280H, and the car is a 69 Q code Mach 1 with a 4 speed. I'm thinking my engine will be in the neighborhood of your 428 Cobra Jet dyno mules. My headers are Hooker Super Comps. I like the better power of the Streetmaster per your book, but I don't need to port match the Blue Thunder. I've got some time to decide which intake to use as I finish putting the short block together of the Christmas break (advantage of being a school teacher!)
