Looking for SCJ crank/rods/balancer for a recently-purchased Drag Pack Cobra which is missing the bottom of its orig engine. Interested in a 1969 CJ block and carb as well. Just stock stuff, to make it original. Got lucky here, ran the Marti report after purchase (no door tag) of n R-code fastback and learned it was a 4.30 car!

Marti says car was assembled on Mar 24 of '69. Not sure what date range applies. Is your carb rebuilt?
-
So this is a 4-speed car?
-
has autolite tag 8JE . date code on air horn is 895. carb is in original condition. "C" block 9B13, standard bore. is in the machine shop currently getting a 030 bore and cam bearings and oil modifications.

Yep it's a 4spd. By orig condition, do you mean it works or it needs rebuilt? Also, is there a VIN stamp on the block?
-
it will need a rebuild. i can send you some pics if you have questions. the block has a vin # on it but like i said it is in the machine shop and i can;t quote you the number now. i also have a set of lemans rods but no IUA crank and no SCJ harmonic balancer.

The rods, are they with the SCJ cap screws? Orig condition or mag'd, etc.? I think Jay will say private message for prices...how much for block, rods and carb? Approx location?

i will have to get the rods out and look. i sold a NOS set and a used set last year off this website but still have another set left. the block has been bored and cleaned and new cam bearings installed and the oil modifications done but i haven;t picked it up yet as the machinist was doing a couple of cranks for me and balancing the rotating assembly for this block but i will sell this block if we can get together on a price. i can install the balanced rotating assembly in a 1970 "C" block i still have. the date codes don;t mean anything to a 66 ford pickup. the carb will need a professional restoration to look good on a SCJ mustang but it still exists. they have some value as a core and this ain;t walmart. my personal information is available by clicking on my login name.

Don't forget the SCJ front sleeve/spacer with the pork chop weight on it...This is a 69 SCJ I have been looking after for over 20 years now...Sometimes stock and sometimes modified but I can put it back to original very easily...Car still has all original drive train...Owner has had it for around 40 years now......Cory
