Does anyone know how much longer and electric water pump is than a stock Edelbrock pump.
Thinking about using one but not sure if I will have enough room to clear the electric fan/radiator.
Appreciate any info.

The CVR universal high volume pump plus my adapters is almost identical in length to a factory or Edelbrock pump; I think they measure within 1/8" of each other. I imagine that most of the electric water pumps for FEs are about the same as that...

Thanks Jay
appreciate the info.

What (who makes it) bracket is that on the vacuum pump? GZ?
-
It's a GZ bracket....

Wow I just compared the CVS-8000 to the Meziere. The CVS flows more GPM, draws less current and cost hundreds less. Win, win, win! Jay really has hit a homerun with his water pump adaptors.

right away i noticed the vacuum pump bracket bracket unrelated to this subject in this looby. what else caught my eye was the mandrel also, is that a gz mandrel also? reason being is that pretty much every vacuum pump company i talk to doesnt make one for the fe. the ones that i have found sit in the counterbore of the sfi dampers which on an fe they arent counterbored, for instance a gm motor the damper bolt sits in a counterbore on these aftermarket dampers the fe bolt and thick washer sit flush theirs no counterbore. so does that mandrel just bolt onto the 3 bolts on the front of the damper?
-
one other thing i just seen also. how far in front of the waterpump does the mandrel stick out?
-
GZ makes the whole deal for the FE.....sweet setup.
I can measure to see how far the mandrel sticks out, but for reference, that pulley behind the front pulley on the mandrel was for the water pump/alternator. That will give you a sense of depth on it.

so does the mandrel just bolt onto the 3 bolts of the damper? also is that a gz mandrel? or some other company?
-
GZ makes the whole thing.....
The mandrel bolts straight to the crank snout and is also pinned so it can't spin.

ok im gonna call gz and get me one. thanks for the help.
