I cannot find any info concerning the cfm on the Trick Flow Box R lower 351C intake, my plan is to have my Edelbrock RPM heads ported to 350cfm. I am thinking since the intake outlet at the head is 2.10/1.50 and tapers to 2.380/1.380 my flow should OK to feed my heads? I am however going to have to match my intake to Jays intake adapter so I am thinking the port will grow some. In your guys experience how are my flow numbers going to look at the standard intake adapter dimensions once I match my intake? Thanks .....Jon

why are you posting a 351c in the FE forum. not that I mind, but since your
question is very specific don't you think the "trick flow" site or forum would
be better?
I would also state what 351c you are running, a 4v or 2v.
not trying to be a smart ass just IC there are no reply's to your posting..
I don't think unless your a full blown race car that you can get to 350 cfm

Sanddoc - Jon runs a 351C intake on an FE adapter (ironically developed and sold by Jay) so it applies. Also, even if it didn't, one of the good things about this forum is Jay allows a little flexibility.
Jon - your intake actually increases in cross sectional area (CSA) 3.15 sq inches in your first, 3.28 in your second, although I used simple height X width calcs not accounting for rounded corners. Not that it matters that much, but typically they get smaller as they get closer to the valve by under a percentage point. I believe a stock Edelbrock head is 1.94 x 1.24 for 2.40 sq in CSA and even if opened up should never approach what you already have.
Maybe Jay can report his adapter CSA on both gasket surfaces to see how they compare, keep in mind I am using internet numbers and a few calculation WAGs, but my gut says that the intake will feed it fine.
A comment though, 350 cfm out of a set of Edelbrocks is not easy, so be prepared to pay, may want to consider a set of worked BBMs or FElony heads.

CSA on the various 351C intakes varies a LOT, depending on which intake is used. On my adapter, the FE side CSA is about 2.65 square inches, and the 351C side is about 3.22 square inches.

My plan is to have the heads upgraded from the current Survival Stage X to a full race port and polish. From the numbers it looks like they top out at around 340 of so CFM wise. Considering that the manifold I am getting appears to be set up for a Cleavor 2V conversion or 2V Cleveland but states it will work for 4V applications it is going to need some help. The port is pretty close to stock FE dimensions on the intake so a lot of material has to go bye bye to make it all flow right. I do know programs are in existence to CNC the trick Flow base plate to a 4v configuration, but the heads and adapter need to be ported also. I talked to Barry about doing the heads at one point but was waiting on the final pieces to get it all done at once. I have already replaced the guides and valves with the Stage X upgrade I believe those are 2.20 and 1.66 if I remember right. The regular Stage X upgrade Barry has down as about 550 HP or so, I am looking for about 100 more so I think with the port work I should be where I want flow wise.
