Title: C6AF-L Carburator
Post by: chris401 on September 15, 2014, 08:33:44 PM
Don't have it in my hand yet but I have seen the tag. Looks like this is the small 289 carburetor. Anyone have flow info to share? Thanks

Bob Sprowl on the other forum had a bunch flow tested, the 1.08 Autolite flows 441, the 1.12's about 500-530 cfm. Here's a link to his results. Thanks to Bob for doing this.

Also, a quick look at the Ford parts book shows the C6AF-L was used on '66 Galaxie with 352 and C-O-M auto. It doesn't say whether it's a 1.08 or a 1.12 without doing more research.

Thanks.  I visit there often but didn't realize there was so much info. Makes one appreciate all the work that goes into these sites.

I have one of the rare 1.19.  How much does it flow?

I have not seen where anyone has flowed the 1.19. Werby estimates between 30-60 more cfm than the 1.12 which sounds about right. That still makes it less than 600 cfm. I like the Autolite carbs and have a 1.19 also.
