I put a pair of SCE 4034 embossed gaskets on my leak prone head and they didn't work immediately. Figured I'd try the non-embossed gaskets next. The problem I have is that my C4AE-G heads are slightly thinner than they probably should be on the vertical flanges on two ports. I get about 400 miles on my Sanderson headers with high temp sealant before they blow out each time. I believe the flange on the headers is straight as well as the flange on the heads, but since I can't remove the header on the passenger side without pulling the bellhousing (thanks Sanderson! >:( ) I'd really like to try to solve this with a gasket if possible.
Anyone used SCE 034186 copper exhaust gaskets? According to this post on the other forum, they are "slightly smaller" port wise than the regular gaskets: http://www.network54.com/Forum/74182/thread/1103481072/Difference+between+SCE-4034+and+SCE-4134+copper+exhaust+gaskets
Are there any other options to try?

I've run Hussey copper flat gaskets for years and they work perfect.
They don't make them anymore, but I would imagine if you find some flat ones they would
work just as well.
Some coppers on a Med port.

You know there are three different gaskets for the different port locations in the SCE catalog.

i found the perfect header gasket for me, have aluminum heads on both my fe's, drag race both cars and havent had a failure yet. they are percys xx carbon gaskets p/n 760-68053 in the jegs book they cost 22 bucks, but beware when you install they are razor sharp, the carbon material is fairly thick on both sides of the aluminum inner piece they are attached too so if you have bad pitted exhaust flange they will take care of that. just remember to retighten after motor has been run to temp and retighten and should have no problems. hope this helps.

These have to be the pillow-case of gaskets with very crushable material that is SS reinforced to resist blow out
