Title: Is this block worth grabbing??
Post by: galaxastang on September 11, 2014, 06:31:15 PM
Hey guys,
It looks like this block has had some machine work done. It looks like their saying it was casted that way. Never heard of a cross bolted 428 SCJ, not much info on site. Is this something Holman Moody did after market, looks like typical ribbed service block. Your thoughts.  Thanks

I would ask if there is a HM stamping on the block on one of the machining pads. Most of the Holman Moody stuff I`ve seen has there marking s on them, but not always. Otherwise it looks good

It was not cast as a crossbolt block. It is evident by the wide spacers used for the OE 427 main caps. It was machined to accept the spacers...
