Title: plugs for Edelbrock heads?
Post by: fe66comet on July 30, 2014, 06:59:11 PM
I need a plug for my Edelbrock heads that will work with a high energy ignition. I am running TFI with  a MSD 6al digital box and MSD coil. It would have to be a resistor and I would prefer a platinum. Any suggestions? Thank guys

Motorcraft SP-406 might work for you

Use Champion RC9YC or Autolite 3924.
MSD does not recommend the use of Platinum or either do I.
Don't work that good. lol

The Champ is the cooler plug and you can go a tad cooler with the Autolite also.

Agree, good plugs for a street car.  Both have worked great for me, both carbed w/ a Unilite and later EFI with a TFI and Accel Annihilator.  Matter of fact, I haven't looked at a plug since the EFI plug in 2008/2009, probably should at least pull them out and give them a coat of antiseize LOL

Works for me, I need to plug the holes up to keep crud out so may as well put plugs in. I was going to get plastic hole plugs but why ya know.

x  whatever for the 3924 Autolite on the street.

I transition to a Champion C61YC for race stuff

Good to see the 3924 endorsements, that's what I installed and I'm running the same ignition.  Wouldn't shoot down Champions but I have had longevity issues with them in other Fords, they just didn't seem to hold up over the long haul.
