Does anyone know if a 12" converter will work with the Quicktime FE - C4 bell housing?
Thanks, John

This is a photo from about 5 years ago with a JPT C4 FE bell on the left. The one on the right is from Quicktime. The QT bell tapers to a smaller diameter more than the JPT unit and I would think a 12 inch converter probably won't fit. Also the QT bell was a bit short and they ended up sending us an adapter to correct the spacing. Hopefully they fixed this.

Is there some reason for using a 12 inch converter if you go though all the trouble of sticking a C4 on an FE? :)

That was my question. Rather than ditching the bellhousing I think I'd be looking at a smaller converter...

Afret, thanks for the reference pic. You're great at providng those ref pics.
Well.... it was originallly a C4 car, so I thought I would keep the C4 for the "benefits" of a C4. I had a C4 and converter built for this application...
It's a 67 Fairlane S/W with a BP built tri-power that is a street car. May be of those lessons learned the hard-way.

Hey John, I think PA sells a C4 bell that may accomodate the big converter. If you still plan to tow the other car with the wagon, you might check on the PA bell. I might be able to help you find a good JPT bell if needed. There are those who have adapted the Cruiso bell to a C4, and I think for your app that would be a safe thing to do also. Just don't give up on the C4 idea!

Hi Blair.
I had Neal Rhoads do a 10" converter for me. Picked it up yesterday, he thinks it will work. Should know in next 1-2 weeks. Finally getting the tri-power in and on the road. Thanks for the help!
