10-30 in a good quality will work fine in a stock engine or even slightly modified. If the temperature rises above 80 degrees I switch to 10-40. Do not use oil that has there starburst logo on the container, the oil contains additives to prevent proper flow to the components in the combustion. I like the Royal Purple or Red Line street oils personally.
