Title: Lentech AOD
Post by: Bad Byrd on March 14, 2014, 01:07:50 AM
Any of you guys running the Lentech AOD, if so do you like it?

I just picked one up with a 9" converter and a transbrake, should make for some damn good launches.

Don't have one myself but back in the bracket racing days I came to know a number of fellows (competitors) running Fox bodies with Lentech AODs.  All were were very happy.  It seemed to be the go-to product once they decided they were tired of spending money keeping less rugged transmissions in play.

I have had great success with mine. Went five years before refresh with multiple Drag Weeks, and other events and street miles as well.

Foot braked 4200 lb car with 588" BBF.

Is there a way to attach an AOD to an FE? Last I knew all AOD's had a sbf bellhousing pattern.

Lentech makes an adapter, but last I heard you had to buy a trans to get the adapter.
Might have changed?
