I didn't know that Ford sold the Performer 390. Over the counter deal?

Yes, sold through Ford Motorsports. Looking back through my old catalogs it became available winter 1986 and sold through 1991. By the 1992 catalog it was gone. There was never a picture of it in the catalog although it did state it was made by Edelbrock, but no mention that it was a Performer 390.

Did Ford brand and sell other Edelbrok intakes?

Well that's a coincidence. I just sold a radiator, heads, and FE intake to a guy here in Espanola NM who had a 427 block and Ford aluminum performer intake in the bed of his truck. He had just bought them for $2500 in Albuquerque. He is building a 66 Fairlane. I accidentally drooled on the block while checking it out.

Yes, on my 331SB Ford, I have a Ford Motorsport single plane intake manifold that has "Ford Motorsport" cast onto the back, with a Motorsport number on a rear runner. It is esentially an Edelbrock Victor Jr., and has a large "E" cast into the underside. I wouldn`t be suprised if all the F-M intakes were made by Edelbrock.
I have also seen several Jerico 4 speeds with the Ford Motorsport logo on the main case, and also MSD components that were blue with F-M numbers and logos. In my Mustang, the Autometer oil pressure and temp gauges have black lens rings, and Ford Motorsport on the gauge faces. I`m sure that Ford used established sub contractors to suppy the Motorsport/Ford Racing division with a lot of the stuff.
