Title: drag race commercial
Post by: fastback 427 on February 10, 2014, 01:25:52 PM
Anyone see the Lucas oil commercial with the granny driving a 72 ish Ltd that has to be 390 powered? During nhra eliminations on sunday they had her drag racing who I thought was Frank Manzo and put him on the trailer! Hilarious. I can't find that version anywhere.

Haven't seen that one....but that granny seems to get around pretty well.

Funny you mentioned it. My Grandparents bought a new '71 LTD that my Dad still owns and drives regularly in the summer months. But it has the 400 in it and it's a 4dr....with no center post ???. That thing sways and swerves more than a hookers hips. And I think the seat belts are only there to keep you from sliding all over the front seat. Not a car I enjoy driving.

I have not seen the commercial, but by 72, the only new Fords with factory installed FEs were trucks.
