I'm going, Ken, assuming I can get signed up.  Last year all the spots went in a few hours...

Since I am so close I plan on going even if I don't get pre-registered. I'll roll the dice since there are usually some no-shows but if there aren't I'll just cruise the event in my car. For me, the most fun is traveling from place to place and not the racing. What I'll bring will have little chance of winning anything anyway.

That's a pretty cool idea Alan, I'm glad you said that.  Maybe tag along, watch the races and meet some fast guys.  Might be able to run for parts or offer a little roadside assistance if the rulebook allows it.

I'm either going to take my Mach 1 again (fully sorted, this time I hope), or maybe take my Shelby clone with the big SOHC.  I'll have to decide when the time comes...

Finally close enough to Colorado to be able to make it to one of the stops, day 4 in Great Bend wouldn't be too bad a drive in an FE powered beater to go watch another FE put the beat down.  :-)

When I saw the Olympic schedule    "FE Intake Manifold Change" I thought it was for sure Jay Brown . . . .

The problem with that is many countries don't have so many FE's, like all the ones ending in ------stan and certainly there is the problem of having a host country (Russia) not having many FE's. They'd probably make it a Lada intake change and Jay might have a slimmer edge over the Ruskies.

No, he would grab hold of the intake of the Lada to jiggle it like an FE and UUUUUPPPPPPP it would go, through the hood, and then through the unopened ring hanging from the ceiling!!!!  :-[  :o  ;D  ;D
Course. he might get a couple of style points for that ;D

The hole card shall remain a mystery until the last possible moment, yes ;)?

Now, about that bobsled.  Think the Olympic rules committee would see the injector stacks coming up through the cowl?
