Title: Rocker Shaft Spacer Clearance
Post by: mammyjammer on February 08, 2014, 10:58:29 PM
I putting Precision Oil Pump end stands and Dove spacers on  Sealed Power stock replacement rocker shafts. I'm using stock non adjustable rockers and stock rocker stands in the middle of the shafts.
What clearance should I shoot for on the rockers contained in the end stands?
The rockers in the "field"?

It looks like the Sealed Power rocker shafts have about half the amount of oil hole capacity as the stock shafts, which is probably an improvement over FoMoCo shafts..

I never measured for clearance, but was always happy when I could get a small bit of movement side to side. Even if it's just a few thousandths, that's enough to let oil escape and do it's job.
