The question is will a modified Edelbrock streetmaster support more than 500 hp , Jay - Barry  - anyone ? ?  428 ci - 482 ish  ci  thanks Bud

Yes it will; the Streetmaster that Joe Craine ported was one that I tested during my dyno tests, and the engine made 600 lb-ft of torque and 632 horsepower.  HOWEVER, at horsepower levels over 500, there are better manifolds available than the Streetmaster.  The Edelbrock Performer RPM and Ford MR 2X4V intakes come to mind, as well as the Edelbrock Victor, of course.  If you are going to exceed 500 HP, I'd be looking at a manifold other than the Streetmaster.
