If it's an automatic tranny, run it at .010 I say. Keep in mind that although the Ford spec is a max of .008, it's like Johnny Depp says in those Pirates of the Caribbean movies: they are just really guidelines! JMO.

Beat me to it! yes, XR7 answered this same question only a few days ago. King has oversized flange thrust bearings.

I'd run it at .010.
Not far enough from "perfect" to cause me to lose any sleep on a thrust.
Make certain that you're getting a full measurement though - hate to have it actually be even more....

I have .009 with a steel flywheel. Chased down a ding at idle and found it to be flywheel pinging when crankshaft bumped bearing. NP435 65 F250 13,000 miles no issues.

And since it's a tad on the looser side, make sure you check the flywheel bolts interference with the back of the block. Sometimes they're close when you use aftermarket bolts and will hit the block. It's always a good idea to mock up the clutch/flywheel setup and make sure nothing is bottoming out or causing interference with the crank at full fore or aft movement....including the snout of the tranny against the pilot bearing or crank.

Better a little loose than a little tight, but make sure you actually only have .010- more than that and I would work on tightening it up
