Title: Spring pressure

How does 130 lbs seat and 340 lbs open on a comp cams extreme energy 274 sound , open to any replies guy s .

Comp's recommended spring is the 924-16 rated 112 @ 1.900 and 355 @ 1.200 so yours are in the ballpark depending on installed height.  Should be OK IMO.

I agree, those springs should be no problem.  If they are duals, take out the inner spring for cam break-in, though...

On my edelbrock headed 427 I am at 145 closed and 380 open .This is lunatis 73121 springs and a lunati solid flat tappet camshaft Your spring pressures should be fine .I run the same spring on my 460 powered dragcar with no issues there either .Doug 8)
