recorded a 9.49 et @ 143.10 back on 4/25/26 at lebanon valley
-
Very nice. I don’t believe we have details of your car? I could be wrong.
-
69 fastback 496 c,i, 4 speed jerico . only fiberglass is hood, still has wipers , radio & antannea.
-
Phil, were those the heads we ported with your cool rocker setup?
Can’t be that many fast FE Guys at Lebanon Valley
-
yes they started on my old motor a 475 & of course moved them to new one
-
you're right I'm the only "fast" FE
-
Love it! Great job
-
I really think with a little more clutch work a low 40 or high 30 is possible
-
Phil, any trips back to LBV planned?
-
yes I've got some pigkup truck problems right now. but hopefully they will be solved & I'll be going back up
-
Had some problems with my tow vehicle also.
Will either be there on a Wednesday for Street Night or a Friday TNT.
You would have to reign it in A LOT on Wednesdays
Can’t run faster than 11.50
There is a TNT lane on Wednesdays also but you might only get 5-6 passes all night
-
a couple friends & I went up on a Wednesday for TNT. I think I went 9.51. Nobody yelled but our first was at 6;30 . we went back & next run was with headlights. We sat in staging lanes at least 45 minutes. Not real fond of wednesday nites. I see by your post your a fairlane guy. Thats cool they're sharp. Is it street car or race? Are you local?
-
I’m from Western Ma. My Fairlane is a street car with lots of the usual concessions to make it quicker at the track. .
I met you at LVD several years ago.
Your ‘Stang is strong. It would likely be in the Quick 8 at the FE Race & Reunion.
That’s the place to be for FE guys.
-
And a stick car no less. Even at the reunion anything in the 9s has an automatic mostly.
-
I've been to reunion couple times, I was in the 9s as deep as now, I'm sorry I dont remember talking with you, Your fairlane sounds pretty stout. If I can get tow vehicle back up & running I would go to reunion again. I do have another pickup to tow to valley not Pa.
-
As of just a few years ago a 9.8 would not get one into the Quick 8. The ET cut off is probably even lower now.
X2 on the relative scarcity of 3 pedal cars in that class. John N gets in there, I ‘ll assume that is what Phil was running in.
