Title: Ring compressor sleeves ?
Post by: Joe-JDC on June 18, 2026, 10:53:39 AM
I am trying to complete my ring compressor sleeve collection for builds that I am finishing up.  I have a  1968 428CJ that is fresh bored and honed to 4.160", and I hate using the expandable ring compressor sleeve.  I have tried to find one from Summit, but they only have 4.165" listed for any supplier.  I really like the Wiseco compressor sleeves that I have for other engines, but they do not offer them in 4.160" What do you folks use?  Part number?  Joe-JDC

All I had to do was ask and I found a number.  Total Seal RC4160.  On order, thanks.  Joe-JDC

Just for information sake, +/- .005" will work on a tapered ring compressor.

Found out that a +.010" will not work.  Decided to go for the exact measurement.  Exact works great.  Joe-JDC
