i've got the roller cam now so i need a suitable gear for the dizzy so they won't eat each other. obviously a bronze gear is the traditional choice but they seem to be a 'service item'. melonized gears are listed for roller cams too and don't seem to experience the same wear so would seem a better choice. my car will be primarily a street car so i'm not keen on pulling the dizzy to check for wear on a bronze gear regularly but don't want to get the melonized gear if it'll damage itself or the cam.
any advice?
thanks, neil.

Steel distributor gear for long service life.

Steel gear, where you get it and price depends on shaft diameter.

Bronze just won't last.
I've been using steel gears with billet cams for literally decades.
Been having good luck with Melonized gears as well.
