Title: Cometic gaskets
Post by: Stangman on March 30, 2026, 10:24:01 PM
Cometic head gaskets that are let’s say 0.60 is that a crushed number or because they are metal shim that’s what it is. Also do they get a retorque. Does anybody put silicone around water ports. And if you do do you put it on just top and bottom or between each layer. Sorry about all the questions but better safe than sorry.
And are they torqued the same 110

That is compressed thickness.

I do not retorque them.  Yes, they are torqued the same.  If they're brand new, I do not use any kind of silicone or sealer on them.
