Title: Can anybody decode FPP part numbers?
Post by: CDXXVII on August 31, 2013, 09:11:23 AM
FPP 242-99 #2931

Supposedly new in box pistons. I'm guessing these were from way back when he had a shop.
Did he have his own mfg or was he re-marketing somebody else's?

427+.017" (4.25" bore). Standard stroke, flat top, 1.755" comp dist, lg and deep valve reliefs, 9.6:1 with 75 cc heads.  Must hone rod bushings for .990" pin.  5/64", 5/64", 3/16" rings.

Great forum thanks. Any idea who the mfg was? Since 427 I am thinking should be forged? Looks like lower compression height than stock. What would the best use be?

I guess the deep valve reliefs must be around 5 cc. A good street piston for a Galaxie?
