I would get a hold of who your going to have make your new axle's and ask them what dimensions they need, then go measure your housing

Charlie,
I ordered Dutchman 35 spline axles for my 63 a few years ago. They have a form to fill out best I remember. My notes show SR178 axles with 27.875” LH axle and 32.25” RH axle (stock dimensions). There are a few other options such as which studs and spline to meet your requirements.

I may be wrong but I think you need to use large bearing for 35 spline axels I just sold my old diff and built a new one when I changed to 35 spline If you think you need 35 spline axles then you should be using a heavy wall tube hosing as well

If we’re talking about the axle bearing, you can get 35 spline 9” axles with the smaller bearing, Strange made mine.

Is it possible to source 31 or 35 spline axles that will fit with small carrier and axle bearings?
