I went to Brainerd International Raceway this past weekend to an event put on by the Minnesota Street rod association. It was all paid for by the MSRA so is a good event. Limited to older cars only like the mid seventies. If it was not for one of our members here on this site I don't think there was an Fe powered car there. I could be wrong but I didn't even see any 67/70 style mustangs there. Dean was there with his 427 powered 56 ford gasser project and doing well. There must not be very many Fe enthusiasts here in Mn that will actually "use there cars". I would have loved to see Jay there to show the Brand X cars how these things can run. But I know he is very busy with other things right now. There was even a Y block powered mid 60's pickup racing and having fun. Not terribly fast BUT he was there and having fun and showing brand loyalty. Just ranting I guess.

Phil, were you still there on sunday when the supercharged ford flathead that ran 7.68 in the quarter on saturday lost a wheel half way down and rolled over about 4 times? driver was ok, car was not!
I had a great time and the match race with the 55 chev gasser was a great finish for me, I am always glad to see a familiar face!

What color was the 55 Chev gasser? I remember seeing the 57 flat black gasser but not sure about a 55 gasser . Anyway did you beat him?

it was turquoise and white with lift off front but did not sit real high. he had beaten the black 57 chev gasser and wanted to try me. the 11.03 time slip I posted was against him. he turned a 11.74 I believe.
