Title: Big input top loader clutch fork
Post by: c9zx on April 09, 2025, 10:29:32 AM
Is anyone making the clutch fork (and release bearing) for the big input top loader or is it a matter of finding a used one?
Application is 1966 Cyclone 390. Thanks, Chuck

A Toploader for a 390 should be a small input, the larger 1 3/8" input was only used behind the 427, 428, and 429 engines. Regardless, when I needed a new clutch fork for my Toploader, McLeod offered new forks for both the big and small input applications. They were also available from Tony D Branda Mustang Parts.

Thanks for all the sources guys. It is currently small input wide ratio. Back in the day, I actually twisted a small input apart. I want to rebuild and convert to big input. Chuck
