I have been stocking up on VR1 at Walmart at a cost of around $26.00 per 5 quarts. a good deal. Don't know how long this supply will last, thus stocking up.

There's a lot I would use and would consider high quality:  Valvoline VR1, Driven, PennGrade, etc.

X2 and VR1 usually easiest to get, unless you need an odd weight, Walmart carries and often has it on sale.

I used to use Penngrade and loved it, but my supplier stopped carrying it locally and hate to pay shipping for oil.

I guess the availability of the Brad Penn/Penngrade 1 oil varies by locale, when I lived on the West Coast of Canada, nobody local stocked it, so I would order it from Ken at Oregon Cam, but now that I am on the East coast of Canada, despite living in  a much less populated area, I have 4 different shops that stock the Penngrade oils.

one question i left out, what about synthetic oil,i tried it several years ago and i think it wanted to leak for some reason so i did not try it any more.the oil geek says every body should be using it.

Most people will say use dino oil vs synthetic until your engine has some miles on it because its to slick. Also it can cause more leaks to show up, but once the engine has some miles on it i cant see it would hurt anything, but also not sure it would add alot.
