OK, switched to a Dual Sync Distributor which requires HEI style Wires.
Got MSD 31323
Which list this as an application:
Make:
FORD
Model:
F-250
Submodel:
CUSTOM
Beginning Year:
1975
Ending Year:
1975
Engine Type:
V8
Liter:
5.9
CID:
360
Engine Family:
FORD BIG BLOCK FE V8 GAS
Engine Size:
5.9L/360
Engine VIN Code:
Y
And the following wire numbers lengths:
1 Cylinder 24”
2 Cylinder 23”
3 Cylinder 37”
4 Cylinder 31”
5 Cylinder 25”
6 Cylinder 37”
7 Cylinder 28”
8 Cylinder 34”
I followed this and they fit poorly, in retrospect this doesn't look right? Shouldn't 1/5 be short 2/6 longer, 3/7 longer still and 4/8 longest.
Alternately does anyone know of a good fitting set or the lengths of the factory wires?

I never fool around with "pre-made" plug wires.
Always get the "cut to fit" kits.
They come with the plug end already crimped,
and a bag of connectors and boots for the dist end.
Need to invest in some good crimpers and you can "custom fit" the wires.
It always looks much neater than the pre made kits if you are careful and take your time.
It can be tricky to get the lengths right, especially if you need to adjust the timing on a fresh build.
I have a spare set of "too long" plug wires I use to get the engine running and timed properly.
Then when its all setup, I go in and fit the custom set of wires.
More expense and fiddling around...
But then, I'm fussy about such things...

I hear what you're saying.
I'm about 20 minutes form just putting the pro billet with the regular cap back in it.
I feel about HEI caps about like Brent feels about RED mid caps.
As to my assumption about shorter toward front and longest at back, Close... not quite though...
