Anyone know the real scoop on Jerico ?
I have heard so many rumors the past few days including,
Shut down for good due to embezzlement.
Bankruptcy.
New owner taking over but just making service parts.
G force acquiring them.

There is some information on the class racer forum about them. They have been purchased and what's going to happen from there is sketchy.

I have also been reading several rumors about Jerico recently. I know that the company had been sold several years ago, and in 2018, when I broke a mainshaft in one of my DR4s, when I called Jerico to order a new one, they told me that they were no longer making replacement parts for their older transmissions, like mine, and suggested I buy a new DR4 revision 4. Yeah, thanks, what was I supposed to do with my pair of DR4s, sell them for scrap and give the company that called my transmission "obsolete" a bunch of money, as a reward for abandoning me, and hundreds, if not thousands of loyal customers? Yeah right.
I would really be surprised if G Force would by Jerico, i have been to the G Force factory 3 times, each time that I went to the FE Race and Reunion at Beaver Springs. Ironically, my first trip there was in April of 2018, a few months before I broke the mainshaft, and the owner of G Force , Leonard Long, told me that Jerico was not doing very well, and suggested that I sell my Jericos, and get something else. At that time, Leonard said that NASCAR was going to no longer allow 4 speeds with external shift linkage, like both the Jerico and the G Force G101A in the near future, which I believe happened about 5 years ago. Considering Jericos close proximity to many large NASCAR teams, I have to think that the NASCAR business was a major source of Jericos revenue, and was likely a serious blow to the companies fortunes. And for Jerico to also turn their back on so many drag racers with older DR4s, certainly didn`t seem like a wise business decision to me. I was told that some time after my conversation with them, Jerico had a change of hard, and started making and selling parts for the DR4s again, but by then, I had sold my Jericos and bought a G101A. Hopefully Jerico can be revived and stay in business for many years, since there are so many racers with their transmissions, But if you do need parts, I wouldn`t put it off. There are probably still a number of racers that have extra parts lying around, a buddy of mine used to run Jericos in his Super Stock 396 Chevelle drag car, and over the years he had aquired a few parts transmissions and a bunch of DR4 parts, but since I moved over 4 years ago, no idea how much (if any) Jerico stuff that he still has. If anybody has any specific parts needs, I can give you his number, if Jerico can`t help you.

They did start making hard parts again but have recently closed there doors. I went to the Class Racer and found the thread. This thread is a couple of months old. There is a transmission shop near them that appears to have some of there inventory. The name of the business is Buzze Racing in Florida. Might give them a call. They answered the phone when one the guys called. Many of the Stock Eliminator guys run Jericos.
