Title: FE in a F150
Post by: 66BirdMike on November 07, 2024, 08:33:45 AM
After seeing Dan's post it got me to wondering if a FE will go into a 2002 F150.  I have an 02 regular cab stepside V6 truck that the motor is getting a little tired.  It would sure sound nice with a 390 in it.  Anyone have any experience with such a project??   I'm not worried about the electrical problems, I can figure that part out.

No experience with that, just a question.
What trans would you use with that, and is the truck 2wd or 4wd?

I don’t see why not, those come with those mod motors which are about as big as a 460…..

It is a 2 wheel drive.  I have a C6, but would prefer to use something with overdrive

There is an adapter to put a 6R80 behind the FE, but you need a computer/module to run that trans.
