First of all, congratulations on a great book. This is the first time Ihave posted on this forum. The question I have is, how about the intake c5ae-9425-c.Only reason i,m asking you this is i,m on a low budget right nowand they seem to be common and easy to get.Thanks,Dave.

Thanks for the props on the book, Dave, and welcome to the forum. I went digging around in my manifold collection tonight but I don't have one of the intakes you are referring to. This is a cast iron intake, correct? Do you happen to have a picture of one? I could probably tell something from a picture by the shape of the runners, and comparing it to the runners of the other cast iron intakes I've tested. Also, does it have the low riser port sizes, or do you know?
Sorry I can't be of more help on this one; if you can get a couple of photos I'd be happy to weigh in...

I already had some pictures and was wondering how efficient mine would work on a 410/428 or larger.

Thanks for the pics, Chris. Based just on the runner appearance that is one of the better cast iron manifolds, much better than the "S" manifold that came later, and similar to the C4SE intake that I tested for the book. It looks to have low riser style ports. That is a pretty good manifold for a stockish engine combination.

THANKS A LOT FOR THE HELP,to jay brown and chris both, dave.

No problem. I have not measured the ports but they look the same as the C4AE S and larger than my C6AE-G S.
