Hello FE Power. This is my first post, and I thought I'd share what brought me here.
Currently I'm building a 482 for a client to replace a broken "428CJ". A 5 piece camshaft does considerable damage to the cam tunnel, main webbing, and rotating assembly.
I hope to enjoy my time here, and gain some knowledge of the FE world.

Welcome to the forum. I have seen a lot of damaged engines, and one cam that was broken in two pieces, but I have never seen one broken into five. Any idea what caused the failure?

Well, my client is one that liked the sound of the engine in 4th gear....at 100mph. Honestly I can't tell what gave out first. Pushrods were tangled up in the rotating assembly and lifters were in pieces everywhere. The car and engine only had 12k miles, and was built by Shelby American. I'm sure he'll take better care this time. We're getting close to $30k in parts....

If I could get BBM to complete the heads I ordered 2 months ago I'd have more to show.

Received great news from Doug at BBM. The CNC heads(2.220"int/1.625"exh) with 72cc chambers shipped yesterday(4-17-24).

This will be the first set of BBM heads I've worked with.
