Title: Bearing clearances
Post by: Stangman on March 10, 2024, 03:24:28 PM
What are the most common bearing clearances for  street/strip  on a 482. Mostly street maybe 400 miles a year, 2 or 3 times a year to the track. About 600 horsepower.

Depends on the bearing, but I usually aim for .0027-.003" on the mains and around .0025" on the rods with BBC rods.  That's worked for me for a couple decades...
