A curiosity, what is a C5MF-9600-C air filter assembly from a 65 Galaxie for use in low ambient (below 40F) conditions for street operation? Is this totally different from the typical aluminum oval assembly? Any pictures available on what they look like? All Google comes up with on initial search is a C5MF-C 2100 carburetor.

Google dropped the 9600 form the search. If I'm not mistaken 9600 is the base number for an air cleaner assembly. I didn't come up with any info for C5MF-9600-C.

That's a rough hone stone call out - must be because of the type of rings in use in that time period.

2065 Merc 427's are so elusive i'm not sure there even is one left to check. I wonder if it is not an open element but sure big round of oval enclosure with a snorkel and heat riser?
