if i change from a hyd flat tappet cam to a hyd roller, does the pushrod length usually change?
-
Always. Lifters are a lot taller on a roller.
-
so does that mean i need ,roller cam, roller lifters, pushrods, and matching valve springs for the swap,i already have roller rockers
-
Yes and a steel distributor gear. I'd also recommend a steel thrust plate.

Always be sure to converse with the camshaft maker of the "appropriate" distributor drive gear material as there have been different cam-cores made available (read: "off-shore" ::))which do not present as acceptable to what otherwise might be considered the norm. ;)
And beware of those company "tech-guys" that might respond to the inquiry: "Oh, those cams use the O.E.M.'s standard gear"! If so, follow up with: "So, what's the "standard gear" material to start with"? ??? Nine times out of ten they won't be able to answer that; and if such proves to be the case, go somewhere else for your cam! :)
