??? Im renovating a bedroom that was my fathers room as a kid.
And when i removed the floor i found a stick of Nitrolit (A form of Dynamite)
he had hide .
I threw it out in the snow, and yesterday i saw a lot of magpie tracks
arond where i had trew it.....And a magpie had ate the whole stick :o ??? ???
What in the world made it eat that? Dinitroglykol, Nitroglycerin and sawdust :o :o
From 1950 i bet it had a dry taste ;D ;D

Bill, so far i have found some 9mm parabellum blanks. some 22 long,22 short. the blown remains of a
Mustang modelplane out of wood and paper. Some pics of some girls with my father 16-17 years old
And he said about 10 years ago there could be a couple of Remington rolling blocks in the sawdust
under the floorboards. So lets se when i start showeling out the sawdust :)
And possible a murderweapon, it was an officer in the 20s that shot a guy over a woman.
They later found him in the river, he had shot himself in the head.
A friend of my father told me recently that my father had an Swedish Army revolver he found
in the mud on the river bottom, one time when it was real low water. With two fired shells in it
and the rest of the drum unfired but totaly rusted solid after some 20-30 years in the water
and he had it hiden under the floor in his room. The friend told me he had a secret hatch
from a wardrobe to acsess under the floor :D.
Yes he was a character, oh the storys iwe been told ;D ;D not a day go by without me missing him

Heo, thanks for the story.
I really enjoy learning about my parents and grandparents being more than just my mom/dad, grandma/grandpa.....they were young once too and hearing about the things they did is interesting and fun to me.
Luckily I have some great stories to help me remember them, for I too miss them.

Yes we have all been young and crazy, or most of us car guys atleast i think
