Title: Moroso T oil pan capacity
Post by: FirstEliminator on July 04, 2013, 01:44:21 PM
   Hey guys,

The final pieces are going on an engine I've been putting together for a while. One of the questions I am trying to find an answer to is with the oil capacity. The engine has the Moroso T style oil pan. I cannot find what the capacity is supposed to be. The dipstick that came with the oil pan is adjustable.  So I need to put in the correct amount of oil then adjust the dip stick height and tighten it down. If anyone knows, I'll be checking back frequently today.

   thanks,
      Mark

I don't know the capacity offhand, but I would guess it is close to a Cobra T-pan, which is 7 quarts.  Do you have a stock dipstick?  If so, you could just plug that in for the initial measurement, and then adjust your aftermarket dipstick accordingly...

8 quarts for that one, and typically Moroso does not include the filter in their capacities.

I have the Moroso #20608 steel t pan.
It is 8 quarts without oil filter.

I have the 8 quart pan, do I have nine in the bucket then? I am adding a cooler and accumulator along with dual filters so that will be determined after I run it.....Jon
