Title: Weiand Ford 351C for 2V Heads 7516 X-Celerator
Post by: bsprowl on August 07, 2023, 05:54:07 PM
How well will this fit Jay's Cleveland Adapter?

It's for 2 bbl heads.

If you have Jay's intake adapter already it will bolt up but IMHO if you DON'T already have one of Jay's intake adapters then you would be much better off with an edelbrock streetmaster for a WHOLE lot less money.

It is definitely better than a Performer 390.  It will require some trimming to fit Jay's adapter, and quite a bit of blending.  An Edelbrock Performer RPM will be a much lighter package, and easier to fit any FE compartment.  I like Jay's adapter for a higher horsepower stroker but with a different Cleveland intake.  Joe-JDC

I have used the Weiand XCelerator intakes on 351C's and they were not very impressive.

For what it's worth, I tested the 351C Edelbrock Performer RPM on my intake adapter, in both as cast and port matched conditions.  The manifold was designed for 2V heads, so there was a pretty big port mismatch.  However, port matching made almost no difference in power on that intake.  Made around 665 HP either way on that particular engine.  See page 5 of the thread below for details on the test, and page 11 of the thread for a table of all the results for the different intakes.
