I have a TCI street fighter C6 in one of my cars. It had a column-shift level in it when I purchased it, and I pulled the lever and replaced it with a C6 floor shift lever. I'm using a Lokar kick down cable.
The transmission works normally in D, but doesn't go into 2 or 1 when the floor shift lever is in that position, nor will it hold in the gear when selected from a stop. The kickdown doesn't work either.
Suggestions on what I did wrong?
Thanks

I would double check that shifter. Disconnect the cable from the arm on the C6. Make sure one click on the shifter equals one click on the arm. A rooster comb C6 VS the earlier C6 with valve body detents. They use different shifters. The later rooster comb C6 has a clamped in modulator instead of a threaded in one.
