I'm going to be buying new tires for a 15" rim 1969 and was thinking......"It's been a while since I purchased 15" tires and I don't know who makes the go to tires today."
I know many brands but I want to hear what you are running and what is good about them.
This is a street driven car that gets driven with gusto, but ultimate race traction is not the goal here.....Just very good tires.

I am not much of a brand guy. Normally I just go to my tire guy and say vehicle X needs new rubber, what do you have? That said, I run 15" Hankooks on this not-so-little lady. This set has 7 years and about 35,000 miles on them and have worn very evenly. I chose Hankooks because they were one of only a couple manufacturers still making pinner whites.

I run Cooper Cobras on my Galaxie, they've been good tires, and they've been reasonably priced over the years. Not sure of late, though. Goodyear acquired Cooper a year or two ago--there's a plant about 30 minutes from me in Findlay, OH.

I run BF Goodrich radial TAs on my 66 galaxie with the blackwalls out. They've been on for awhile and I'm not sure what's available now.

Cooper Cobras here, too. My only complaint is that the raised white letters on two of the tires are now raised brown letters. I tried all the usual remedies except tire letter paint, one of these days I will try that.

Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/T. 275's on the back.
I bought these as a rain and truck type tire. I'm going to tow with them.
I have used them in the rain and they work great.
They have a large side wall so you can feel them move a bit.
They have a T speed rating. Better than BFG's S rating.
They fill up the wheel hole. I like that. ::)

I like the BFG's as well w/ black walls out. I have a set of Tiger Paw white walls on Wifey's C2 Corvette. I guess that I like both of these as they are more "era" or "muscle car" appropriate. They typically become long out of comfortable date code vs. wearing out. OK, maybe not the rear tires on the 69. ;)

Thanks for the info so far.
The ooptions for 15" tires seems to be shrinking with every passing year so I figured I would just ask to see what others are running today.
These tires usually age out rather than wear out, but I have also had a few brands simply fail within a few years and that stinks. (cord/ply seperation or VERY early sidewall checking)
