what is anyone seeing as a price mark for a pair of 660 Holly Carbs these days? Thanks
-
I bought a nice used pair of the Holley List 4224’s from a local guy about 5 years ago for $400/pair. I thought that was pretty reasonable price at the time. Since that time I’ve occasionally seen other pairs for sale for roughly the same price or up to around $500/600 pair, and it appears they tend to sell at that price point, but that’s just a casual observation on those. Holley discontinued making new 4224’s a few years ago, I haven’t checked to see if they’ve resumed production, I assume they’re still not available new, so that may have driven the price of used ones up some. Hope that helps.

That helps Thanks

I just paid $600 for a pair of unmolested 4224s that needed rebuilding. Got excellent rebuild kit for both from Drew.

$400-$600 is typical.
I assume the throttle shafts and air bales are destroyed, so I price accordingly.
The restored ones I sell are nice, but very expensive for most folks, probably near what new ones would cost.
For race carbs, they are sure hard to beat.

Hey Bilge Rat- have you ever messed with those 750 tunnel ram carbs that were supposed to be the end-all replacement for the 660's? I have a set that I got in a trade, they seem to have fizzled out/ not better than the 660's? Kinda forgot I had them, also have a set of 660's
-
No I have not. Are they center squirters?
660s are pretty awesome for a simple track setup.
-
#6109, 750 TR specific double pumpers that were supposed to be an improvement over the 660's. Seem pretty popular with the speed boat folks
-
Are they center squirters?
No, "Double-Pumper".
The 'Big-Boy' Center-Squirter would be the List #4223 & #4543, each rated at 850 C.F.M.. :)
Scott.

Yeah, I know the 850s.
I have four sets in process.
I looked up the 6109s. Eh double pumpers. Cool.
But the whole reason to use 660s is to mount inline. Otherwise double pumpers just make more sense.

Actually many run them inline with the side hung bowls, seems the boat guys were the only ones who spent much effort on them. Haven't looked at mine in a while, they are in boxes upstairs, but pretty sure they are set up for inline, came off a 460 boat TR
