Title: Need 1962 406 3x2 Holley carb kits info

A Friend dropped off his 3 carbs for me to soak, wanted to rebuild them himself so I did not write down numbers

Hey PMd me the 3 kits he bought from autozone did not work, said the carbs were 2436s ...will find out tomorrow if they are all the same

The middle has a choke and power valve, the front and back jet plate are blank and not drilled for power valves

All 3 jet plates have idle screws

My info shows the end carbs should be 2437s ...

Whatever I find, I could use info on what gaskets to use and who I may purchase from please

Will update tomorrow

Holley 3-888 kit worked for me.  I have a 3208 center carb, which I believe was a service replacement, and 2437 end carbs.  They are as you describe - power valve in the center carb only, 6 idle mixture screws.

I use 3 standard motor kits # 1570. About $20. a piece from rock auto.

The Holley kit is higher quality and more specific than the generic kits. Worth the bucks.

The generic kits were all of low quality. I gave up on them.

I’m picky and have 6 different parts vendors to make the kits I use…
This year I started offering them to others.
If you want an exact Ford 3x2 rebuild kit, I have them on my website afscarbs.com

Also kits for CJ, Boss, Lemans bowl, etc specific Ford stuff.

These are for real rebuilds, not just regaskets. I have idle well plugs etc so you can remove the old ones and clean the idle feed restrictions, etc.
