So, a beer-swillin' guy is the marketing guru about the Holley conglomerate? Hardly.

Look, even if Holley-made carbs go by the wayside, a ton of look-a-like 4150, 4500 and even lesser carbs are marketed by a number of makers, often with even better performing carbs. Truth is, carb sales (and usage) are way down and will continue going down for the foreseeable future. So be happy that other makers of very similar carbs exist if on a smaller scale.

I stopped at the grump about bitch-hard to tune mechanical FI being pushed to EFI.  They do carbs and EFI.  Carbs be around for a long time IMHO.  Not everyone has $2K+ to just drop on some EFI system.  The current best supported MFI system I know of is the "flying toilet"' system.  Friend runs one and it clicks off ET numbers like a calculator.  Not a street system, that I'm aware of.
