Title: f e in e 150 or e350

was there every a fe or ft installed in a van , from the factory ? I am thinking of building a motorhome and got to thinking about this .

I don't remember anything bigger than a 302 in a 69-74 which is where it might have appeared. The earlier models were 6 cylinder only. By the time the '75 models were in production Ford was using the 460. The 460 was, eventually replaced by the V10.

No factory FE Ford Econoline vans. First year that anything larger than a 302 was offered was 1975, which is the next to last year that FEs were used in PU trucks. So pretty much every Ford engine, besides a FE was used, 6 cylinder, 302, 351W, 351M/400, 460, V10s and diesels, were used, and I imagine the 4.6 /5.4 mod motors as well.

Seems like a ripe time for an FE Econoline van conversion...  ;)

thanks guys, I could not remember any being install in one myself. I think that could be a good project not too many folks would have, of course there may be a reason for that.

That's cuz the van craze from the 70's is over.... ;)
