Title: 70 Mustang
Post by: Blueoval77 on November 16, 2021, 01:13:39 PM
Any of you guys using the one piece headliner for these cars ? Looks like the price is a little stupid and the availability is a little stupid but worth it I guess if its giving a bit more room for the main hoop of this cage.

Oh and the shipping is wayyyy stupid.....

Thanks

I was thinking of trying one, where are you getting it from?

Well I have looked all over and the Mustangs to Fear one is pretty nice. With that said I sent them an Email inquiring about stock and some other things and never heard back, This annoys me a bit even if its really nice . I email guys on here quite a bit that I KNOW are pretty damn busy and they always answer .
So I have shopped around and the TMI one is made in the US or atleast advertised to be . Found good pricing on them but then comes the lead time and the shipping thats more than the head liner.

Long story short I got ahold of Duane at Kentucky Mustang and he has them all beat (Usually very good on pricing) . Im going to get mine from him.

Put one in my '70 Mach 1 about 3 years ago. TMI was the supplier.

Great fit, more headroom, no worries about a drooping OEM style headliner. Only has to remove one rear quarter window (pass. side in my case) and with the windows down, the one piece headliner slipped right in. Added a insulator on top too before finishing the install. Btw, the sail panels fit better too as the very stiff headliner won't allow the top/front edges of the sails to flex and, sometimes, slip out/down a tad.

Other than the cost, I'd highly recommend this welcome and modern addition to a now 50+ year old car design.
