The recent threads here (Brent's 352JJ and Cheeser's 68 Cougar 390-2v) got me hunting for dimensions of the "newer" (1966-up) iron 2bbl intakes.
http://fepower.net/simplemachinesforum/index.php?topic=10390.0;all
Since these were basically scrap iron in our day, I only have measurements on one early c3ae-a 2bbl but have nothing on the many 66-up 2bbl intakes we scrapped.
I usually record the following:
* Port height & width
* "A" and "B" as Edelbrock (and Jay in TGFEIC) describe it, from carb pad plane down to china wall front & rear.
* Volume in cc's (LOL, who would bother??? Not me!)
* I also measure "C" and "D", which I define as the distance from the carb pad down to the bottom of the plenum. Kind of a short cut to guessing volume but mainly, easy to measure.
* Pictures help too - sometimes those are around on the web but not the measurements.
I’ve found several post-1966 2bbl intakes. Most of the pictures I see have a Big T on them (like the Big S on the 4bbl "390GT and Friends" intakes.)
But I don't know if they all have the Big T or not.
Any known dimensions (ports or “A” & “B” or even volume or "C" & "D") much appreciated!
Anybody have any 2-barrel intakes out in the scrap pile they can measure?
C7TE-F pictures show a “T”
C7TE-G NHRA listed for 1968
C8TE-A NHRA listed for 1969
C9AE-B pictures again show a “T”
D3TE-A1A pics looks like low “early” version, cant tell if it has “T” or not
MPC lists only 2 service intakes for those years:
C6AZ-D 1965-66 2bbl (Muscle Parts says 1.16 x 2.75 ports. Unless it’s a HiRiser 2bbl I think they mean 1.16 x 1.75)
C9AZ-E 1967-71 2bbl (Muscle Parts says 1.16 x 1.82 ports.)
I dont know which casting numbers these "AZ" part numbers refer back to.
Muscle Parts also lists the C9AZ-E 2bbl and the C9ZZ-A 4bbl (390 IP?) as “Equal Length” intakes, along with the C6AZ-M Sidewinder. I found that an interesting comment, hadn’t noticed it in all the years I’ve seen that table.
Any help in measuring appreciated - all our 2bbl iron is long gone.

I just scrap 3 2v intakes a couple months ago. Hope get an answer. Certainly be interesting.

Going through my date code log notebook here are the casting numbers for FE 2 bbl intakes I have, I suspect there are a couple other early ones I haven’t seen yet. This goes back earlier than you asked, but I just thought I’d add it all for posterity. I have a D5TE-9425-KB loose, it’s stored away but I’ll try to dig it out and measure it up, maybe next weekend.
One other thing I’ll note, the C6AE-9425-F has a “S” on the runner, just like the FE 4 bbl cast iron intakes. I put a picture from the Internet below, I have a couple other pictures saved too. The runner style is similar to the “S” 4 bbl intakes, and it uses a PCV balance tube that connects to the front & back of the intake like the “S” 4 bbl intakes. From date codes and actual observations the C5AE-9425-B intake was used in both the ‘65 & ‘66 model years, I’ve seen it on ‘66 pickup trucks, I suspect the C6AE-9425-F may have just been used on the cars in the ‘66 model year, but I haven’t seen enough to know for sure yet. My ‘66 Country Squire has it’s original C6AE-F 2 bbl intake. The ‘67-‘70 intakes seemed to be used on both cars & pickups. Just to add to what Werby asked, I’d like to see any date codes noted for any intakes people post up the info on, thanks.

Thanks to all!
Heo
I just realized you have 3 Model A's too (and a barn!)
And a 37 - is it a big v8 or a 60hp? I've never worked on a 60hp but it seems like you'd need a watchmaker to work on it. So tiny.
-
This is the one off my industrial engine.
Casting # C7TE-K, date code 0A20
Ports are 1.15 x 1.75
Front 3.75, rear 5.75
C - D = 1.75 - 3.25
-
Just a FYI, I didn’t include any FT intakes on my list.

Wow those runners are skinny.
Can you re-check C & D ?
Typically D is about 1.5-2.0" deeper than C on a dual plane.
For example I just re-checked my
428PI
C=2.625
D=4.625
And then a "Z" iron 4bbl C3AE-B
C=1.625
D=3

Werby, I rechecked and I was only off by 1", sorry about that :)
I edited my post to, 1.75 - 3.25.
FT's only have 1.75 In x 1.5 Ex and are governed, under load, to 3600 rpm.

Werby,
Yes i have a few Model A,s probably more than 3. Only one driveable, The Tudor. I have a German woodgas Head (something with them Germans and gas ????)
8.5:1 cr and a Model B carb. runs real strong for a Model A.
The 37 was a 60 hp yes they are tiny or as the wife said, oooohhh what a qute V8 ;D. I have an Canadian universal carrier engine for it now at the machine shop.
The biggest difference from a ordinary Ford is they got a fullflow oilfilter
Just in from the barn found the engine under some 32 fenders. Had started to getting dark before i had time to search for it (ohhhhh what a day chased a intermitent problem with the turn indicators on the Packard, found out the upholsterer died and the relatives throw away our upholstry dad had already payed that he had at the shop for minor adjustment. Tried to buy new leather of same sort but the leathershop was now a Pizzeria ::) Tried to hunt down an THIRSTY painter that holding the rear fenders hostage )
But could read the casting nr on intake, either C8 or C9-B to dirty and dark to tell for sure but i do that tomorrow and take some meassures ok?

Oh thats fine, thanks for looking.
We had a 36 Ford, then a trio of 40 Fords. 1st one was red with a mint original interior but a 283 in it, PO tore up the trans so my dad got it cheap. 2nd one was green (B&W pics) but original engine, vinyl disco interior. 3rd one was the trophy getter. My dad collected all the bling for it. Like others it was a keeper but sold too long ago.

Heo,
thanks. Do you have a casting number & date code on there?
Also is there a Big "T" on it?
-
It is C9AE-B what i think is a date code is a 0 or O with two dots under and then E20
no big T but a .....half big 28, a clock pointing at 6, a ford oval, fireingorder and another
clock at six.
