Title: Fairlane back at track
Post by: 6667fan on July 30, 2021, 11:19:49 AM
Finally got car back to local track. It’s been a rainy summer here in New England. I usually go on Fridays for test & tune sessions but Dennis Towle suggested I try the Wednesday night street stick class. My two time trial passes went poorly as I could not get the line lock to hold. My first elimination pass was against Dennis in his son’s Fox body mustang. I lost on a red light start but got the car down the track a little quicker than it has been previously. There were several changes to sort through including a rebuilt Jerico trans, aluminum flywheel with a Ram adjustable clutch and rear height increase.
Had a good time. Props to Dennis for the suggestion.

Very nice keep up the good work. Love the Fairlanes in 66-67.

Car is beautiful Jim. It's got a lot more in it; a little more time.
